HC Refuses for CBI Probe

The Hon. High Court rejected the petition for CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation) probe in the coal scam. On the other hand the Hon. High court directed the vigilance department for quality investigation regarding the issue. The petition had been filed by Advocate Nishikant Mishra, but was rejected by the committee consisting of the Hon. Chief Justice V.Gopalgauda and Justice B.N. Mohapatra. There was no need for CBI probe while the vigilance investigation was going on, added by the committee. The Hon. High court directed the vigilance department for the accomplishment of the investigation and to take action against the condemned. The scam came to lime light in the previous year during the coal subsidy distribution. As per the investigation OSIC(Orissa small Industries Corporation Ltd) sold coal subsidy worth Rs.125 crore and that of PCCF at Rs.9 crore. According to the petition filed by the advocate Pratap Jena and Badrinath Patra were also allegedly involved in the coal scam.

Swami Nigmanand Saraswati fighting against Ganga Pollution and Corruption

Swami Nigmanand Saraswati did continuous fast for 68 days and on 27thApril 2011 he was brought to District Hospital Haridwar by Administration. On 30th April 2011 he was poisoned during recovery stage of fast. He was conscious and alert till 30th April2011 but on May 2nd2011 he slipped into deep coma. Since then, he was on ventilator and died on 13thJune 2011. A named report is already lodged on May 11th 2011 against CMS, Haridwar and others but Govt. of Uttarakhand kept silent. In spite of protest by his Guru Swami Shivanand ji that the post mortem should be done under observation of team of doctors including outside of State and our recommended doctors. But in State of Uttarakhand at this hour the police is forcefully doing post mortem without the consent of Swami Shivanand ji.That too by the State Govt. doctors who were involved in poisoning Swami Nigmanand Saraswati.

NREGA : Rs. 170 crore to 6 Districts

The ongoing CBI probe in six districts to get compensation from the center. Balangir, Klahandi, Nuapada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada districts are going to get Rs. 170 crore. The center asked about the action taken by the state government against the culprits involved in NREGA(Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) scam. The center had checked this compensation amount in the six districts because of the resistance of report. As per the report the center had given Rs. 529 crore to the 24 districts except these six districts. When the state government had come to know about this, then after it sent the report regarding the action taken. The state government vows to fulfill the demands given by the center and requests the center not to block the compensation amount. According to the government report the action was taken against five officers in the six scammed districts. Three were probed by the vigilance department and 19 non-government culprits were actioned by the government. Five DRDA(District Rural Development Agency) directors and four BDOs(Block Development Officer) had been transferred. The action had been taken against total of 110 condemns. Total of Rs. 4,10,000 had been fined. Following the steps of Andhra Pradesh the state government also introduced e-payment facility.

Dhenkanal Double Murder Case

The main culprit in the double murder case in Dhenkanal autonomous college surrendered himself in the court.Prabhasis Mishara had been out of reach for the police for the last six months. But according to the High court order he surrendered himself at SDJM court at 3 pm.He was sent to Dhenkanal jail after the Hon. Justice Akhil kumar cancelled out his bail plea. The convict belongs to Dhenkanal district. Kamallochan Dalai a engineering student of Amalapada along with a college student Sangram Mohanty were attacked by some nuisance on 23rd December at Dhenkanal autonomous college campus. The heinous fellows had used a white colored Indigo.The two were admitted in the Hospital but Kamallochan was declared death at Dhenkanal Hospital and Sangram took his last breath at SCB medical college Hospital.The other accused involved in this case had already surrendered himself with advance bail immediately after the case. He was a +3 final year student at that college. Dinesh Das was the main suspect in that case according to the victim’s family report, but he surrendered at the Dhenkanal Court early. Five other accused are still out of reach for the police.

Shivaji Majhi Suspended .

MLA Shivaji Majhi was suspended by Congress, because of his allegedly absence in the upper house election. Congress has now evidence that he had taken bribe for his absence in the election. Congress also declares that the same action will be taken against the political leaders, who were involved in that detest politics. BJD had bought the Congress MLAs for the sake of it’s candidate’s victory. An audio tape had been revealed in “The Sambada” , on the basis of which Congress has taken it’s steps. According to Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) lanjigarh MLA Shivaji Majhi by taking bribe ignored his party’s whip and was absent during the election. After getting the necessary and sufficient evidence he was suspended from the party, Arya kumar Gyanendra said. The party is silence about MLA Gregory Minz due to lack of proper evidence. In the previous year Rajya sabha election, Congress introduced a 3-line whip for independent candidate Tara ranjan Patnaik, but Sri Majhi ignored it. Answering to a question Gyanendra said that all the actions would be taken after the PCC Report, headed by Niranjan Patnaik. Instead of taking disciplinary action former chairman K.P. Singhdeo asked the suspected MLAs to give reasons regarding their absence in the election. The party is totally unaware of their reasons. Another MLA Bhimsen Chaudhury of BJP was suspended straightway after the party had known his detest work.

Ramdev Quits his Fast; Not against Corruption

At last Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev quit his 9days hunger-strike against corruption.He has broken it by having fruit juice at Dehradun Hospital. Many spiritual leaders were present at that time.He said that he just quit the fast not the Satyagrah against corruption. As per the information he ended it as per the request of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar. But he will be at the Hospital for 2 or 3 days for his weakness. On the other hand his aide Acharya Balkrishna said that he had ended the fast by respecting the requests of his fellow beings. He also quit his fast. Sri Sri Ravishankar also pleased up on Ramdev as he stood up on his request. Acharya Balkrishna also thanked the media for it’s support. Answering to a question he said that who won or who lost that did not matter. The main aim was to awake the Indians up against corruption. According to the medical authority he will be fine soon.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee(OPCC) alleged the Chief Minister as the main culprit. He also allegedly involved directly in the monkey business in the previous year upper house election. It also demands the resignation of the CM and asks for CBI probe. Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) got a tape containing the statement of a BJD minister regarding the abduction of MLA Shibaji Majhi and his step down from the election process. In a press meet organized by OPCC, veteran Congress leader Narasingh Mishra said that all the fiddle done in the assembly election happened according to the instruction of the CM. For the last 11 years the CM has been covering his corrupted face up by a crystal clear mask. He also did not dare about the Lokpal Report, Hon. High Court and Hon. Supreme Court. But now he was totally exposed. He had introduced a third candidate seat in the assembly election, which was not required at all and was confident about his winning. It had been proved that he was the root of all the corruption and uncertainty taking place in the state, added by Narsingh Mishra. He also said that the investigation under the state government might not be fair any more. So it would be handed over to CBI. Regarding POSCO, he said that the treaty of one year had already been expired, but now the government was forcefully acquisition of land in POSCO area. He also tensed about the situation, that might not lead to Kalinganagar situation. Former minister Nalinikant Mohanty, Ganeswar Behera, OPCC Vice President Shibananda Roy, Arya kumar Gyanendra, Kailash Acharya were present at the meet.

Most Wanteds are out of Reach; Challenge for Police

The most wanted criminals are yet out of reach for police.They are operating their felonious domain indirectly in the silver city.The criminals like Sushanta Dhalasamanta, Dipu, Asish kumar are still breathing comfortably in open air.Though the mastermind Sushanta Dhalasamanta , who involved in many heinous crimes, the police has not yet succeed to catch him in last five years.Dipu and Cornale, who are the main suspects in 11th Dec 2009 Nuabazar double murder are still out of reach for police.In 7th May Bibekananda Sahoo was gunned down by some nuisance but police has not yet succeed to arrest anybody regarding this case.Police have no clue about the criminals involved in the two separate cases at Jobra.Police has not yet found the nuisance involved in the acid-hit case to a computer student Pinky Behera on 12th May at Pratap nagar.Apart from these every police station has it’s most wanted list, which contains the names of most wanted criminals involved in many crimes and still out of reach for police.This a challenge for our new DCP S. Prabin Kumar.

Heinous Maoists strike again

The maoists looted from the residence of a constable named Sukra Madhi in Kalimela block of Malkangiri district.The constable originally belongs to Gagarimetla village of Gampakonda panchayat.About 20 maoists along with their fellow entered into the constable residence and got the constable with his family out of his house forcefully, then they looted from his house along with the cattle, utensils, and garments also.They also burned down a bike before leaving the spot.This incident prevailed fear among the villagers.The victims are also so much afraid of the incident that they did not filed any complaint against them in the police station.As per the information the maoists asked the youth to resign from their jobs in the maoists active areas three years before.

Maoists menace ; Block the road after the foray

The deadbody of one jawan was found after the maoists-police conflict at Daringbadi in Kandhamal district.The numbers of deceased most likely to hike.According to the recent information the maoists have blocked the Daringbadi-Simanbadi and Daringbadi-Kerubadi roads by cutting down trees.Kandhamal SP S.Pravin Kumar, south zone DIG R.K. Sharma and additional DG(of the operation) Sanjay Marik had arrived at the incident spot and kept their eyes on the situation.The police also arrested 15 suspecting them as maoists and continuing interrogation with them.

As per the incident described SP Brijesh kumar of Daringbadi Police Station. SI Tapan Nayak, SP’s body guard Rajiv Kahar and 13 jawans went from Daringbadi police station to Kalengbadi yesterday.They went there for the investigation of Udaynai Sahu murder case, who was a businessman at Bhramarbadi village and was killed by maoists.About 200 maoists gunned them up in their return journey at Damaka-Kalengbadi road.ASP’s body guard Rajiv was injured at the spot as he was shot at his leg.They somehow escaped from the maoists attack and arrived at Daringbadi police station.They sent the injured to Phulbani Hospital and again arrived at the attack spot with SOG, CRPF and district police.The fight was going on through out the night.In this war jawan R.B.H. Thakuri was gunned down.He was shot at head, neck and chest.At the tomorrow morning the combing operation went up to a fly, but the maoists blocked the Daringbadi-Simanbadi road, which resulted a halt in combing operation .Due to this blocking Daringbadi-Baliguda and Daringbadi-Phulbani roads are also blocked by the maoists.Some maoists were also shot down as per the expectation, but it’s difficult to know as they were at the higher region.Police also took 20 bikes forcefully from the citizens for combing, which are yet to return.So Daringbadi block chairman Junush Pradhan annoyed to the incident happened by the police, as the innocent people are suffering in it.DG Anup Patnaik also arrived at the spot by a chopper as per the latest news.So now the tension is prevailing in the minds of the citizens.
