Collection of Performances Set the Stage On Fire

Be it Kathak or contemporary dance forms or the music of flute and the Ghatam the concert at Srjan’s annual recital in Rabindra Mandap left the people of Bhubaneswar mesmerized.
The renditions on Friday and Saturday were colorful and one of a kind. Kathak danseuse Aditi Mangaldas with her touching expressions and quick actions demonstrated Meera Bai’s anxiety to go beyond uncharted seas to meet lord Krishna as well as Harzrat Amir Khusru’s passion in search of the creator of the universe on Friday evening.
The dancer represented the thoughts of devotion through the words of Sufi saints. Shubha Mudgal sang an enchanting Meera Bai song to the accompaniment of table by Aneesh Pradhan.
