In spite of heavy rain fall, the opposition party still in strike

{ Posted on Jul 25 2010 by suman }

It is rare in INDIA that an assembly is running without any opposition party. From last seven days the assembly of Orissa is running without opposition party. The members of legislative assembly  are sitting in strike besides the  statue of mahatma Gandhi  and  they are demanding the resignation  of  two ministers who are involving in coal scandal  and  threatened  that  until the resignation of the two ministers they will not attend  in the assembly.

In a democratic constitution, without the opposition party the assembly should not be run. May be the chief minister of orissa do not  know that provision of the constitution and for that reason the chief minister and their followers  are not interested  to return the opposition party to the assembly. In a press conference leader of the opposition party Bhupindar singh comments that, assembly without opposition party t seems like a temple without God. He also added that the government is ruling like a dictatorship.
