Today in an exciting finale between Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers at Johannesburg stadium, Deccan chargers left behind the opponent in 6 runs by bagging the IPL trophy.

After winning the toss, Anil Kumble, captain of Royal challengers decided to bowl first. Royal challengers started with a winning strategy by taking the wicket of Adam Gilchrist, star player of Deccan chargers in the first over of the match. Deccan Chargers put the target of 144 infront of Royal challengers which wasn’t a tough score for the team.

In the second innings, Royal challengers started with a big bang. But Andrew Symond took 2 wickets in a row which was the turning point for the team.The star player Pragyan Ojha from Orissa took two of the main wickets and demoralised the opponent. Royal challengers could make only 139 with 9 wickets in 20 overs and hence lost the game by 6 runs.
