The low pressure created over Bay of Bengal has started playing its role in some parts of Orissa causing flood and disrupting general life.

Severe raining in Rayagada has created flash floods in Sankesh Nala and has abrupted the Rayagada-Koraput bus services form Monday night.The buses communicating between Rayagada and Koraput and the buses directed towards bhubaneswar has been interupted since the last two days.

For the similar situation, train service has also been hindered .The rain has caused a disrupted landslide between Tikri-Rauli railway line.Samaleswari express was detained at Rauli while Hirakhand express was stuck at Tikri railway station. For this Hirakhand express is running late by 3 hrs from the respective schedule.

Sanyukta Pangi, 16-year old school girl from Koraput has been nominated for attending J8 summit, an initiative taken by Unicef to globalise education.J8 or Junior 8 is a meeting of 52 youngsters from G8 countries and non-G8 countries India & Brazil.

India, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Britain, the US, Brazil, China, Egypt, Mexico and South Africa are the countries whose representives  attending the week-long event.

‘If I could ask the world’s leaders to prioritise one thing to help children, it would be education,’ Pangi said on her selection for J8 summit, a youth summit being held parallel to the G8 meeting in L’Aquila, Italy.’I had to struggle to go to school. If I hadn’t convinced my father to let me continue going to school I would not have been at the J8,’ said Pangi, who is among the 14 people in the 14-17 age group selected to meet the global forum.

The invitees have decided to address issues in education, climate change, children’s rights in the context of the global financial crisis and poverty  and development in Africa.The Orissa teenager Pangi, who wants to become the district collector of Koraput in the next 10 years, said: ‘I want the leaders to know about what tribal girls are facing in India.’

Maoists has stepped one path forward in this one month, threatning the Government and citizens of Orissa.This time they have crossed the limit with loooting the bank at Machhakund, Koraput.Maoists has attacked the State bank of India(SBI) on friday night around 11 pm.As per the police officials , they have theft 6 lakhs 30 thousand rupees.In the last month, this is the second violence by Maoists in Machhakund.Maoists has bombarded on the police station of the area on 7th of this month.

Nearly at 11 in the night, around 50 armed  maoists entered the village . First , they tortured some of the villagers to enquire about the whereabouts of the officials of SBI.Maoists entered the home of K.V.R. murty, manager SBI, Binayak Behera, cashier, and T Krishna, an employee and forced them to open the bank.Aferlooting money, maoists forced the bank officials to open the gold vault.But as the key wasn’t with them, the maoists left the place.As a precaution from police attack, the maoists had put heavy logs in the road of Machhakund-lamtapat, Machhakund-Jalaput.They took away 10 mobiles of the near people before leaving the place.Police reached there in the morning and started their investigation.Although, the right amount of money hasn’t yet detected, but the estimation is around 6 lakhs and 30 thousand.

After this two serious attack by moists on this particular place, Government should make the place more tight in security, which hasn’t been done yet.

The terror of Maoists is concentrating in a rapid pace.In an another attack by maoists, the undivided Koraput district came under their grasp few hours ago.

Maoists attacked the Baipariguda police station with explosives.It has been reported that more than 100 maoists attack the place and still the firing is in process.The Machakunda maoists association is believed to be the culprit behind the attack.

Maoists made the police to come outside and then attacked the station with brought explosives.
