On tuesday Orissa was added to the national swine-flu patient list with two cases being confirmed at  Balasore and Rourkela. The victims who are identified of carrying these dreaded disease are Amit Kumar Singh, final year mechanical engineering student at NIT in Rourkela and Ratikanta Nayak of Soro in Balasore.

A total of 24 suspected patients samples had been sent to Kolkata for swab test out of which two patients mentioned above got positive test.As soon as the news has been confirmed on telephone, special care is being taken for the  affected patients.

Likely sources said that, Singh has been recently recently returned from Nagpur.He had undergone diagnosis after showing likely symptoms of swine flu.Ratikanta Nayak who was working in Mumbai has returned few days ago.

Health Minister Prasanna Acharya has assured of taking the necessary steps to stop spreading this disease to other areas.He also added that the there is no need to panic.Utmost care is taken to fight with H1N1 virus and patients are been taken proper care.

The huge amount of passengers in the Orissa-Maharashtra inbound trains with covered mask on their faces show the terror of the dreaded disease swine flu among the Oriyas who were staying at Pune for some or the other reason.Pune , with the maximum number of casualties  is the worst place  to live in this situation.

The panic worsened among the Oriya residents there after the  death of a  native of Ganjam due to the attack of swine flu, who was staying at Pune.Both students and employees are returning back home in fear.A crowd of Pune return students and employees hit the floor at Berhampur railway station.

Ganjam Chief District Medical officer has assured about the facilities available in the district to tackle swine flu.

The outbreak of swine flu has terrorized humans multiple times than that of swine.Although undetected, but several cases has been admitted in Orissa hospital for this deadly disease.The first attack of swine flu was on a oriyaman from Pune.The person has been identified as Ganesh Nayak, from the district Ganjam of Orissa.

The situation turned out very pathetic when the villagers didn’t allow the dead body to enter the village.The dead body was brought in a specially protected ambulance from Pune by road.The swine flu affected person was working in a timber mill in Pune.

Till now not a single case has been reported to contain H1N1 virus ,although several suspected persons had been admitted in hospitals.Naveen Pattnaik has asked center to send sufficient masks and medicines to fight with the terror.He has also appealed to establish a testing center at RMRC, Bhubaneswar .

Swine flu is spreading its scare throughout the country, Orissa is no way behind the lap of swine flu.

The first suspect of swine flu is tested negative, who was from Pithapur, Cuttack. And another swine flu case has been reported in Berhampur district of Orissa on Monday with signs of swine flu.The patient was a woman , who was initially admitted to MKCG hospital for treatment.The treatment and test report hasn’t yet published.Results are still awaited which will confirm the victim’s disease.
