Bhubaneswar,  The BJP on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of a re-alliance the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Orissa. BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar, who was here to oversee the party’s preparation for the January 17 Sangharsh Sankhanad rally, said he saw no reason in forging ties with the BJD again as the later unilaterally severed its ties with BJP during the last assembly elections. “Our January 17 rally, which will be addressed by party president Nitin Gadkari, aims at exposing the BJD government’s involvement in mining and several other scams. I don’t see the BJP is going to enter into any kind of alliances with that party (BJD) again,” said Mr Kumar. Criticising the Congress, Mr Kumar said the party was misusing the CBI to protect its own people and target the opponents.“The UPA government has converted the CBI into Congress Bureau of Investigation and it was using the country’s premier investigating agency to achieve its own agenda,” he alleged. On Prime Minister Manmohan Singh offering himself for personal appearance before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) probing the 2G spectrum allocation scam, Mr Kumar said: “If the PM thinks himself so transparent, why is he afraid of facing probe by the Joint-Parliamentary Committee?” The BJP leader said the Orissa government had failed on all fronts, including carrying to socio-economic welfare measures for the poor. Earlier, Mr Kumar along with BJP general secretary in charge of Orissa affairs, Mr Santosh Gangwar reviewed the party state unit preparation of the coming rally.   According to political observers, the BJP wants to show its strength through the proposed Sangharsh Sankhnad rally.
