India bagged ODI series trophy in West Indies

After the debacle defeat in the land of England in World Twenty20 cup, the winning of the series in Carribean soil brought happiness to the lips of Indians.It was after seven years India won the series in West Indies land.

India got the series victory in 2-1 lead.Out of the four matches in the series, the fourth match couldn’t be played due to heavy rain.And the umpire declared India as the winner of the series.

India won the first ODI at Kingston by 20 runs but not before West Indies came close to chasing the 340-run target.The home team made a strong comeback in the second ODI, winning by eight-wickets.Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been in good form in the tournament, led the side from the front in the tense third ODI for a six wicket victory.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was declared as the man of the series for his wonderful performance all over the game and consistency in playing throughout the match.
