In a disappointing show, Indians loses the super eight match from England at their home ground Lord’s on Sunday night.In the cutthroat match, Indian’s could make 150 in the given 20 overs in answer of 153 target given by the winners.
In the 20 over match, England could make 153 score in front of Indians, which wasn’t a huge task for the twenty20 champions. Indians had a bad start with Gambhir and Sharma. Rabindra Jadega was a misplacement for Indians who absorbed the balls and made a difference between ball and runs.
Yusuf Pathan made an enthusiastic effort in the middle in support of the captain scoring 33 from 17 deliveries and Mahendra Singh Dhoni got 30 from 20 balls.The two batsmen put 63 runs in partnership in sixth over for the sixth wicket. Alas! the timing didn’t supported them.It was too late for making a winning triumph.
However, Dhoni blamed the batsmen for not putting effort up to the mark.
