Engineering student committed suicide in GEC hostel
A student of second year is found dead in her room of womens’ hostel, Gandhi Engineering College, Bhubaneswar at around 8 pm in the morning.While all other students were preparing to go to college, they found room no. 215 locked inside. They tried to knock the door, but there was no response from inside.Finally , the hostel superintendent was called to break the door.And they found the dead body of Sangeeta Kumari, hanged in a plastic rope from the ceiling fan.
Sangeeta Kumari was a second year student of Computer Science branch of Gandhi Engineering College, Bhubaneswar.Her father is working in Bokaro steel plant, Jharkhand.BPUT results of 2nd semester was published in the night and Sangeeta got three backlogs in the result.This might be the reason for which the girl committed suicide.The dead body of the girl has been taken to the nearby hospital for post-mortem.
