Paes – Dlouhy pair bagged the French doubles title
After a gap of almost three years, Leander Paes has been able to collect the French Open title with his partner Lucay Dloughy on saturday in a magnificent play.The pair beat South Africa’s Wesley Moody and Belgium’s Dick Norman to win the title.
The Indo-Czech pair won the match in 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 sets over their opponents.This was the third crown for Indian ace Leander
who had won doubles itle in the clay court in 1999 and 2001 with his co-partner and India’s second seeded player Mahesh Bhupati.
Although Paes pair lose the first set , but they recovered it quickly in the next two stes to win the match.Paes was hit on eye by Norman but he returned quickly to the ground within no time after a heal with ice cubes.
The brilliant display of intelligence shown by both the players in the game was fabulous.
